“I wrote this song in Kentucky back in July, and recorded it as soon as I got back to Florida. I had no intention of releasing it, I was just recording it so I could keep a good quality version on file.
Then Charlottesville happened.
Kingdom Come is a song about desiring to see God’s will be done here on earth as it’s done in Heaven. It’s a song desiring something more, desiring a world that looks a little more like the Kingdom of God, and less like the kingdom of man. It’s a song full of accusations, accusations that I don’t exempt myself from.”
I took this picture of a wildflower over the summer in North Carolina, not knowing what I would use it for. It turned out to be the perfect background for this single cover.
